Halo Infinite could soon get new multiplayer maps. Which new multiplayer maps have been leaked?
At the end of last year, we got three big multiplayer shooters: CoD: Vanguard, Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite. Battlefield had a pretty miserable start and more than disappointed the community. Steam has even decided to give refunds to players, which actually violates their own guidelines. Vanguard isn't doing quite as badly, but the mood towards the latest CoD isn't all positive either. But Halo... Halo Infinite has wowed its community almost exclusively so far and landed a real hit with its free-to-play multiplayer. The game just released at exactly the right time to shake up the somewhat battered shooter scene again.
But what's next for Halo? Thanks to a recent leak, we now know that the popular shooter will soon get a some new additions to its map pool.
Leak Hints at 5 New Halo Infinite Maps
According to a post on Twitter, five new multiplayer maps will be coming soon, with the following names:
- Bath Salts
- Cataract
- Forbidden
- Beltway
- Solitude
However, the names of the maps could also just be placeholders, meaning they could be called something else when they are finally released. Since the leak and the names came directly from the game files (they were data mined) and the corresponding images are partly literally labeled with "placeholder", it is certain that these maps will be implemented at some point – after all, they are already present in the code of the game – but they could have other names. It also means, that the images shown in the post, probably aren't showing how the finished maps will look like.

As usual, you should take this information with a grain of salt, because even though the information seems to come from actual game code, we don't know what is officially planned. There is still no announcement from 343 Industries that mentions new multiplayer maps, and we also don't know how far development has progressed by now. However, since Halo Infinite has been out for two months now, and we haven't had a major content update yet, it would make perfect sense if we would be getting five new multiplayer maps in the near future.
Have you already spent a lot of time on Halo Infinite, or do you prefer to play other shooters? We're glad that Halo brings a breath of fresh air to the annual CoD releases, and look forward to new maps. If you feel the same, check out the best weapons in Halo Infinite.
