How To Change Your Name In Valorant
First and foremost, it's important to note that Riot has chosen a different approach to players changing their Valorant name when compared to League of Legends. In order to change your name in LoL, it'll cost you, while in Valorant, it's free. In addition, you can change your name in Valorant every 30 days.
To change your name in Valorant, you will have to access your overall Riot account, via a browser. Once there, you will have to change your Riot ID in order for your in-game Valorant name to change.
If you are also a League player worried about this changing your summoner name, you can rest easy, as your Riot ID is separate from your summoner name. Here are a few easy steps to change your name in Valorant:
- Make sure you close your Valorant client.
- Open your browser of choice, then go to the Riot Account page.
- Log in with your details.
- Go to the left side of the account box, then select “Riot ID” from the options.
