According to insider leaks, Insomniac is working on yet another PS5 exclusive Marvel game. Rumor has it that this one will be a multiplayer game.
Insomniac is essentially the official Marvel game-maker: Spiderman was the bee's knees, and now they've got Wolverine and Spiderman 2 lined up. According to rumors, that's not even all they're working on: Supposedly, a PS5 exclusive Marvel multiplayer game is in the works. Said rumors come our way courtesy of Nick Baker, better known as Shpeshal Nick, who is a very reputable leaker in the industry. Still: This is a leak, so get your pinches of salt ready.

Insomniac Is Working on PS5 Exclusive Marvel Multiplayer Game
Nick leaked all of this on the XboxEra podcast, where he claims that he got this information from a very reliable source. In fact, he seems very confident that this PS5-exclusive Marvel multiplayer game is actually in development – what he seems less certain of is the 'fact' that it's being developed at Insomniac Studios. After Nick made his claims on the show, a Redditor picked up where Nick left off and seemingly deduced that the game must be from Insomniac. Deaf_Michael_Scott (great username, btw), names the following three facts to make his case:
- Insomniac currently employs three development teams and, ever since Miles Morales in April 2019, they've always been working on three games simultaneously
- Insomniac was hiring for a multiplayer game a couple of months ago
- They currently have 56 new job openings.
While this is by no means proof, it does make quite the case for Insomniac working on this supposed Marvel multiplayer game. Again: This is mere speculation and nothing's been confirmed yet, but Nick Baker has been proven trustworthy way more often than not, and the friendly Redditor's speculation does make a lot of sense.
Now the real question is: What franchise are they going to license for this multiplayer game? Since they're already taking it into an R-Rated direction with Wolverine, and since shooters lend themselves well for multiplayer action – may I suggest The Punisher?
