These Scooby-Doo clue chases are a fun diversion of your everyday superhero business, and some of them can really stump players for a bit. The Meteor Mystery definitely counts among that.

Midnight Suns Meteor Mystery: How To Solve It
How you trigger the Meteor Mystery is actually not fully clear. It will definitely come up in the later stages of the game, what exactly makes it pop up seems random though. It seems most likely to be the case, that you need to stargaze with a fellow hero, either in a haven or as a normal hangout, to cause the event to happen.

Once the cutscene of the meteor crashing into the Abbey happens, the mystery is on. You first need to find the meteor, which is located in the Misty Moors. You can find them by going out to the training yard, turning right and going roughly into that direction. You will see some smoke coming out of the area where the meteor landed.
Go up to the meteor and interact with it. Voila, you’re done! And you get some sweet rewards for this, namely some Arcane knowledge, an epic Gamma Coil, and the Legendary Green skin.
