What does that mean? It means that the game will be supported well beyond its release, in a way that games like Fortnite or GTA Online are. On the lower end of the spectrum, games like Anthem also come to mind. Think of it as an ever-evolving platform with ever-changing settings and stories and looks. Basically, an Assassin's Creed hub game that's never ending. A game for infinity. Get it? Because of the title of the game... Infinity...
Assassin's Creed Infinity Is Developed By Several Studios
Being a much bigger project with infinite ambitions (heh), this game is not just being developed by one of the AC studios. For this bad boy, Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Quebec are working on Assassin's Creed Infinity together for the best that French Canada has to offer. Again, this just confirms the above, that the game will get different looks via updates over time. We're assuming that the studio will cycle their work and update the game with seasons. But... that's just us assuming. We don't know. The possibilities are... infinite.
AC getting a live service platform which future games slot into seems... a pretty natural evolution at this point? I finished Odyssey but happily kept playing it until Valhalla came out. I finished Valhalla and am still playing now and there's a second year of that coming.

Will Assassin's Creed Infinity Have Multiplayer?
Considering that the game will have live-service and span several settings and more, you'd be inclined to think that it will also have multiplayer. As of now, though, we have no word on that. We'd assume so, since, if Fortnite and GTA Online truly are inspirations, a single-player game would go against that. Only time will tell...
