A new Assassin's Creed every other year is as certain as the seasons. For the new Assassin's Creed, rumored locations have been buzzing, but the fans have a clear favorite: Rome.
Assassin's Creed has just about been everywhere and is probably the franchise for re-visiting history. We've already rumored on the next Assassin's Creed and where it could be set:

Could the New Assassin's Creed Be Set in Rome?
This isn't confirmed yet, but fans all over the internet are begging for an AC game set in Rome. Then again, who wouldn't want to see an Assassin's Creed taking place at the height of Roman Empire? Be involved in plots against Augustus, maybe conspire with Mark Antony? Or... maybe it could be set more towards the empire's decline and the game will let you square off against Commodus in the arena? Or maybe... just maybe... an Assassin's Creed set to the tone of Julius Caesar, the conquering of Gaul and the end of the Roman Republic?
Ok, we're drifting at this point, but a Rome setting and Assassin's Creed seems like a match made in heaven, that this writer right here needs to happen.
New Assassin's Creed Release Date
All this potential Assassin's Creed and Rome goodness will have to wait, as we don't even have a hint of information when it comes to the new AC. We don't have a release date, nor even a release window. What we do know is that a new AC will not be released in 2021.
