Everything we know so far.
Dead Space: Deep Cover Announced
As IGN revealed, the new project, called "Dead Space: Deep Cover", will be released in the first quarter of 2024. And no, it's not a new horror game, but a "scripted podcast" series within the Dead Space universe. This podcast will have 12 episodes, which will be released weekly, and are for free on Apple Podcast, Spotify and other pod catcher-services and networks.
The series is produced by Bloody Disgusting, an American multimedia company which specialized in the horror-genre, and Electronic Arts, the publisher of the Dead Space games. The story will be written by Ben Counter, a well known sci-fi author, who also wrote dozens of novels and books for the Warhammer 40K universe and lore.

The Story of Dead Space: Deep Cover
The story of Deep Covers leads the listener in religious aspects of the Dead Space universe and tells the story of Emmeline Ayuba, a journalist who searches for her sister. Unfortunately, it's reported that this sister joined the Unitologist church.
This church is a religion in the Dead Space universe and their followers believe that humans were created by aliens and that they will be reunited with them after they become Necromorphs. So the Markers are holy signs for them.
Emmeline dives deeper and deeper into the world of this church, where she discovers sacrifices and internal conflicts. Sounds like an interesting and intriguing story line, sad that fans of the franchise still have to wait for nearly six months. But we can just re-play the Dead Space Remake until then.
