Pokémon Legends Arceus got a new trailer, and it revealed a bunch of new features that will come. Let’s go over all of them.
Our previous Pokémon Legends Arceus coverage was always very… one-sided (but hey, all opinions are valid, even if they suck). Today, however, I have the pleasure of writing this article, and I’m a massive Pokémon fan, so let me just hype you up real good for a second, because these features that were revealed in the new Pokémon Legends Arceus trailer are insane, and I live for them. Let's look at the trailer first and then talk about it in detail.
First, the game looks so much better already. I never thought it looked bad, but now the graphics are really starting to get better. Looks like Nintendo got the hint when everyone complained about the graphics looking like a game from the early 2000s.
New Pokémon Legends Arceus Features Revealed
One feature that was properly revealed today, was that you can ride (and jump around) on all sorts of Pokémon, either on land, in the air, or on water and from there, you can even throw your Pokéball at other Pokémon to catch them. Catching Pokémon while on a Pokémon. Yes, please.
Just how many Pokémon you’ll be able to ride and whether it is restricted to certain Pokémon, not sure, but I assume so. I’d love to fly around with a Charizard, but my hopes of that ever happening are slim. It also looks like you’ll be able to summon these Pokémon with a flute, giving a different spin on the whole “horse appears when whistling”. It’s like Ghost of Tsushima meets Zelda.
The trailer then showed several Wardens, who are people protecting the region, customization options for hairstyles and outfits, a photo feature for you and your Pokémon with fun poses and lastly, Pokémon nobles.
Pokémon nobles look like legendary Pokémon that are harder to defeat, so I don’t know why they wouldn’t just call them legendary Pokémon… but maybe I’m missing something here.
Much more interesting to me is that it looks like you engage in combat yourself. You literally jump (not your Pokémon, you) to avoid incoming attacks from this Pokémon noble called Kleavor in the trailer. Not sure what that’s about, but it’ll be interesting to see if combat will actually be a huge part of… combat.
Like hell yeah, give me Human vs. Pokémon, but then you gotta add a proper dying option because there is no way you’d survive against a legendary.
That was a quick rundown of the trailer, but you probably stopped reading if you watched the trailer anyway. If you’re still here, though, you might as well read the other Pokémon articles on EarlyGame.
