Silent Hill has long been rumored to be making a comeback, and now it's been confirmed that there are several Silent Hill projects currently in development.
Christopher Gans is the key name here - he's the Silent HIll movie director, and... don't worry, this article is about the Silent Hill games, hear me out.
Why does the director of an objectively terrible movie in the know about a franchise that he never deserved to laid his hands on? Well... read on to find out.
Several Silent Hill Games Are in Development
It was all revealed in this interview, where Gans spoke about the future of Silent Hill, and revealed that, for some reason he is speaking with the SIlent Hill game creators at Konami, who, he claims, were impressed by the Resident Evil remakes, and want in on the remake-money:
I'm working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak, there are several teams on it, with a big line of games, they will revive the franchise. I think they were really impressed of the success of the remakes of Resident Evil that are evidently exceptional games.
Gans said he's not directly working on the game, but somehow is involved with the crew. I can't detail it any further, because it doesn't make any sense to me either. Oh, and in case you were wondering: Kojima is not involved - this much was confirmed by Gans himself. So all the mystery around Kojima's next game? Silent Hill definitely won't be it.
Gans revealed that the Silent Hill 2 remake is being handled by Bloober Team, and other teams are working on even more Silent Hill projects - meaning there are at least 3 Silent Hill games currently in development. How about them apples?
