Super Smash Bros. turned from a party game to one of the most competitive esports titles with a dedicated fanbase. Now, a new challenger approaches with the Nickelodeon All Star Brawl. A big reason why it could be bigger and better is because it looks like it will feature beloved Avatar characters! Here's all we know about it!

If you enjoy fighting games, we have some good news for you. There's a new one on the horizon, and it's going to be even wackier than Super Smash Bros. Nintendo's party fighter features some of the most popular characters from various Nintendo franchises. At least that used to be the case. It seems Nickelodeon had an ace up their sleeve this whole time with the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl – a fighter with some of your favorite animated characters.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Trailer

If you ever wanted to see Spongebob Squarepants beat the crap out of Patrick, you'll soon be able to do it in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. The trailer for the upcoming fighting game dropped yesterday, and it's just as crazy as you expect.

In the clip above, we see some of the most famous characters from Nickelodeon. Here's a list of all the confirmed fighters so far:

  • Spongebob Squarepants
  • Sandy Cheeks – Spongebob Squarepants
  • Patrick Star – Spongebob Squarepants
  • Nigel Thornberry – The Wild Thornberrys
  • Zim – Invader Zim
  • Danny Phantom
  • Oblina – Real Monsters
  • Michelangelo – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Leonardo – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Lucy Loud – The Loud House
  • Lincoln Loud – The Loud House
  • Powdered Toast Man – Ren and Stimpy
  • Helga – Hey Arnold
  • Reptar – Rugrats

We can only guess that this will be just the initial roster. Chances are it'll expand with extra content like DLC characters, new seasons, and a battle pass? Still, 14 characters isn't bad for a start. Still, some fan-favorites like Korra, Aang, and Uncle Iroh are clearly missing. There's a hint that we might see them further down the line, as the Impenetrable City from Avatar is clearly seen as a stage in the trailer.

Will Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Feature Avatar Characters?

If you look closely at the teaser picture for All-Star Brawl, you can clearly see Korra's braids and as we just said, you can clearly see the Impenetrable City from Avatar as a stage in the trailer. There is absolutely no way that they'd just do this and then not have Avatar characters in their roster, so yes, we do believe that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will feature Avatar characters.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Release Date

The best part is that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be out in the fall of 2021. That's certainly good news. It'll be nice to finally see a game release without any delays due to the pandemic.

Will Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Be the Next Smash Bros?

Probably not, but we can always dream. Smash Bros became a hardcore competitive title when nobody expected it. Perhaps Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has the same potential, we simply don't know it yet. From the looks of it, the game is a Smash Bros. clone and if the mechanics are somewhat similar, we just might see a competitive community forming.
