We are all waiting eagerly for Sony's next PlayStation Showcase, but it seems like we won't get a show in August after all. With Gamescom starting this week and big companies like Nintendo or Sony not attending, gamers have to rely on those publishers having their own showcases. Of course, Sony is currently preparing another PlayStation Showcase and thanks to a recent leak we might already know when it's happening.
I like how Sony has been pushing out these showcases one after the other. It felt like every month, we are getting significant PlayStation news. However, we haven't heard anything official for August yet, and the month is almost over...
Sony PlayStation Showcase Leaked
Thanks to Shpeshal_Nick and other leakers on Twitter and Reddit, we don't have to wait for official Sony news any longer. According to the latest leaks, the next PlayStation Showcase will take place on September 8.

According to Nick, several other people told him about the date, but he also points out that Sony likes to change dates the very last second. So while we do believe that the next showcase could take place on the September 8, you should take this information with a grain of salt.
We still have no idea what Sony will be showing at their PlayStation Showcase, but we sure hope there is news about Spider-Man. After all, that is the only first party title set for 2023 that we don't know much about yet. Maybe we even get to something new from Bungie, which was bought by Sony...
Sony PlayStation Showcase: How to Watch
The PlayStation Showcase should be on Thursday, September 8. We don't know the exact time, but in the past it was at around 1 PM PT / 9 PM BST / 10 PM CEST and you can watch it on the official YouTube and Twitch page.
Here's hoping the event won't disappoint, but I have a feeling Sony can feel the pressure of Game Pass these days and are ready to remind everyone that they are the ones winning the console war.
