Pokémon Legends: Arceus is not even released yet and still it is time to think about what the next generation of Pokémon will look like. A fan now has a great theory on the possible Pokémon Gen 9 Fire Starter Pokémon.
Yeah, yeah, I know: Why do we have to speculate when we have two Pokémon games still ahead of us? Well, two reasons: First of all, we already know what to expect from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearly and, second, Pokémon Arceus looks like trash. Yes, I said it, and I'll repeat it, and you can even read about it: Pokémon Arceus looks like trash.
With that in mind, I'll still be hyped for Pokémon Gen 9, because I'm a nostalgic branding-victim and I simply don't know any better. Thanks to a Reddit user, I can now fully indulge in my hype, because he has a great fire-starter Pokémon theory:
What the Next Gen-9 Fire-Starter Pokémon Might Look Like
The Redditor goes by the name of mingonotmango, so don't you don't dare call him fruity. He or she figured out that all Fire starters revolve around some Chinese Zodiac sign and that there are only four left for Game Freak to either wow or disappoint us with:
Ox, Snake, Horse and Sheep.
Now, if you wanna know the previous ones, here you go:
- Charmander was a dragon
- Cyndaquil was a mouse
- Torchic was a rooster
- Tepig was a pig (duh)
- Fennekin was a fox-like dog
- Litten was a tiger
- Scorbunny a, yes, you guessed it: Rabbit
- Chimchar was the monkey
Bulletproof. Question is, what will be next? If you ask me, I wanna see that fire-ox, since we already have a fire-horse in Ponyta anyway and a fire-sheep just seems... odd.
Anyway, get your gears grinding on this one, because obviously one can never start anticipating too early. Also, in case you're wondering: We expect Pokémon Gen-9 in 2023, so do yourself a favor and catch up on Pokémon Legends: Arceus in the meantime:
