Pokémon Legends Arceus Will Probably Suck. Here's Why.

Pokémon Legends Arceus is coming to the Nintendo Switch in January 2022. It'll also be coming to the 'new' Nintendo Switch. The OLED Switch that nobody cares for and nobody is hyped for – a bad sign for the new Pokémon game?

Alright, let's face it: The new OLED Switch sucks. It sucks so hard that it can only be called new by virtue of it being literally a newly introduced system that is in fact 'new'. When you actually look at the damn thing, nothing about it is worthy of the tag. In fact, everything about it is outdated and the thing isn't even released yet. Now, if you read us regularly, you might remember this piece:

Unfortunately, the upcoming OLED Nintendo Switch has no boosted specs whatsoever and no higher resolution output. So... did we lie to you? No. Nintendo did. That’s also why I don't trust them when it comes to Pokémon Legends Arceus...

Will Pokémon Legends Arceus Be Different on the OLED Switch?

No.

Why would it be? OLED? Whoop-di-Fing-Whoop. Who cares. No 4K, no better specs, no nothing. Oh, ok, you can play it with a wider kickstand. Yay. Nah, man, Pokémon Legends Arceus already looked trash in its first trailer and all hopes that the real version is optimized for the bigger, better Nintendo Switch Pro are now officially squashed. Thanks, Nintendo Switch OLED – I hate you already.

But wait... there is hope:

At this point, here's what we have to go by: The trailer for Pokémon Legends Arceus looked horrible to the point that people were pinning all their hopes on the Switch Pro version. Now that there is no Switch Pro version in sight, our only hope is going back in time a little and remembering the Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl graphics update:

It was one of those rare occasions where the later reveal is significantly better than the first reveal. Will this also be true for Pokémon Legends Arceus? Well... it better be, because that 5 FPS horror show from the original trailer is an embarrassment to Gamefreaks and Nintendo alike. Surely, they don't want to let fans down like that, right? Then again, if the OLED Switch is any indication... we're in for a rough ride.

Pokémon Legends Arceus might suck, but that's ok, because we've got other RPGs and Action-Adventures that are at least mediocre. Yay. Now, don't be shy with your clicks... we see everything.
