The Korean developer studio NCSOFT has just revealed their new project, and it instantly reminded us of games like Detroit: Become Human or Heavy Rain.
Quantic Dream really know what they're doing when it comes down to "Interactive Drama Action Adventures" and delivered two absolute masterpieces with Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human over the last decade.
These two classics seem to have made an impression on Korean developers as well – gaming studio NCSOFT have just unveiled their latest project and... oh boy, this just looks like Heavy Rain meets Detroit: Become Human with extremely badass graphics!
Is The Next Heavy Rain Coming From Korea?
So friends, let's not beat around the bush any longer, but get straight to the point. This new game bears the ominous name 'Project M' and really looks like the prettier older brother of Heavy Rain. The Korean developer studio has just uploaded a two-and-a-half minute trailer on YouTube, which shows a few gameplay sequences, but more importantly focuses most of its attention to the beautiful graphics.
Just take a look for yourself and fall in love with those stunning visuals:
Wow. Just wow. This game's really looking gorgeous. Looking at the footage shown, it's not really surprising that the game was developed in Unreal Engine 5 and the studio focuses on ultra realistic graphics.
Another blog post in addition to the trailer tells us that the developers used motion capture, special effects and 3D scanning, among other things. If the game really looks like in the trailer once it is released for consoles, then hats off – the amount of effort put in was definitely worth it.
Let's move on to the gameplay of Project M, shall we? To be honest, we can't say too much about it just yet. As we already mentioned, the trailer mainly showed off these fantastic graphics. The only aspect we can be certain about is that Heavy Rain-esque quicktime events will be featured throughout the story. In the video, we can see what probably will be our main character taking on a few bad guys as he seeks revenge against his murdered lover. Furthermore, all the button prompts shown are PlayStation – so Project M's most likely coming to PS5.
So, now you've heard about the 'new Heavy Rain' from NCSOFT. Mark it in your calendar and check back regularly for new info or leaks, because this game already looks amazing.
