The PlayStation 5 has just been launched, and Sony is already pulling another ace out of its sleeve. Apparently, PS5 fans can soon look forward to some exciting changes for PS Now and PlayStation Plus. What is it about?
We've recently introduced you to Sony's streaming solution PS Now, and we've also revealed what's behind the PlayStation Plus subscription. With the start of the PlayStation 5 era, both services could soon experience an interesting change, as Sony has now revealed.
PlayStation 5: What you can expect from PS Now and PS Plus
At the moment, everything at Sony revolves around the newly released next-generation console PlayStation 5 - even though it is still suffering from a few teething troubles. However, the rapidly growing service offerings such as PS Now and PlayStation Plus should not be neglected in the future.
Anyway, this is what PlayStation president and CEO Jim Ryan has now revealed in an interview with GQ. There Ryan says:
"PlayStation Now and Plus are very important to us today. This year we're just trying to keep it focused on the PlayStation 5 and the games, but that doesn't mean we're thinking deeply about our services and figuring out some quite interesting stuff that’ll get its own moment in the limelight."
Now, of course, Ryan's statement is extremely vague and offers more than enough room for speculation. Ryan is possibly alluding to a flat rate model for 2021 in the style of Xbox Game Pass, which he already hinted at in another interview last week.

It is also possible that Sony will steal an idea from their competitor from Redmond and launch a kind of PS Ultimate, which combines all the important PlayStation services – just like the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
