The brand new DualSense controller on the PlayStation 5 has a lot going for it. However, aside from all the innovative features, the next-gen gamepad suffers from a well-known problem: stick drift.
The PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, with itsadaptive triggers and haptic feedback, provides a real next-gen gaming experience and marks one of the highlights of the new Sony console. However, like its predecessor and many other modern controllers, it suffers from stick drift problems.

DualSense with Stick Drift Problems
Stick drift is a common flaw in modern controllers. The DualShock 4 had it, the Xbox One had it, and it's also ever-present on the Nintendo Switch. The problem refers to the sticks performing movements on their own, aka: the sticks are drifting.
It's almost as if the controller is making turns by itself. Several PS5 players have already reported stick drift problems with the DualSense controller via Reddit - even though we couldn't find any errors in our internal tests at the moment.

It is possible that the published clips are isolated cases and that Sony will fix the bug with future software updates for the gamepad. An official statement about the stick drift problems is not yet available.

Solution for stick drift problems: What can I do?
Unfortunately, there is currently no easy way to fully fix stick drift. If you are affected, you should contact Sony support, describe your problems, and ask for a replacement controller.
Theoretically, you could also unscrew the PS5 DualSense controller andclean it from the inside - but in most cases, this will result in loss of warranty and should only be done in a case of emergency after contacting support.
