Bethesda took the stage at the Microsoft E3 2021 Press Conference to announce Redfall, a new vampire open-world co-op game from Dishonored developer Arkane Studios. It looks pretty wild, and not a whole lot of information is available on Redfall at this point. That being said, here are all the known Redfall details, including the Redfall release date.

What is Redfall?
Redfall will be an open-world co-op first-person-shooter from Arkane Studios, the developers behind Dishonored. The game is set in Redfall, Massachusetts, where Vampires have been unleashed following a rather disastrous scientific experiment. You are tasked to investigate and take out the Vampire threat, alongside your friends.
Everyone has a unique ability, and everyone has the opportunity to use that ability in fun and inventive ways. The game will feature four player co-op play, but will also be playable in single player. This single-player and multiplayer dichotomy will, reportedly, be blended "seamlessly." Who are the Redfall characters?
- Layla Allison: Features telekinetic abilities.
- Jacob Boyer: Ex-military sharpshooter with a mysterious vampiric eye.
- Remi de la Rosa: Features a robotic compatriot, uses empathy to protect loved ones.
- Devinder Crousley: Inventor and paranormal investigator
Redfall looks like it will feature some pretty amazing characters, with Arkane's Co-Creative Director Ricardo Bare sharing some thoughts on the cast...
We thought going for heroes with strong personalities and distinctive backgrounds would make for a stronger game. We think players are going to enjoy not only the interaction of their various abilities as they fight the vampires, but also seeing their chemistry develop over time as they liberate Redfall.
Well, that sounds pretty awesome, and one thing we can more-or-less confirm is that Redfall will have a lore-rich campaign that will explore characters and themes relating to its four main protagonists, each of whom will be playable by different members of your squad. There isn't much more information available: but fighting vampires with your friends... whilst experiencing a great story? That sounds fantastic!
When is the Redfall Release Date?
Redfall has been confirmed for a Summer 2022 release date. It might seem like a long time away, but was only announced at the Microsoft and Bethesda joint E3 2021 Press Conference on June 13 – so this is actually a pretty fast turn around! The game looks cheesy, but hey, this could be something to seriously look out for in 2022!
