RoenXD Wins Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares World's First Raid Race

In what could very well be the shortest World's First Raid Race to date, Roen's crew ended up beating it in less than three hours.

That was a blink-and-you-miss-it type of raid! That's right, the new Destiny 2 Lightfall raid, Root of Nightmares was completed in less than three hours, with Twitch streamer RoenXD winning it over some veterans like Redeem and Saltagreppo's squad.

Lightfall, the latest expansion for Destiny 2, released this past week, with top grinders setting their sights on the new raid that was scheduled to debut on March 10. Things went smoothly, barring some disabled tools to make thins a bit harder.

Who Won The Root of Nightmares Raid Race?

As we've mentioned Roen's crew ended up coming out on top after getting close in the past few raids, getting second during the Vault of Glass and third for the Vow of the Disciple.

The full team consisted of the following players:

  • Roen
  • Kai
  • Parker
  • Sk
  • Grangalf
  • Punz

This signifies the end of Saltagreppo's streak of dominance. The streamer who is a part of Clan Elysium got the threepeat World's First title after beating the last three ones before anyone else: Vow of the Disciple, King's Fall, and Vault of Glass.

You can watch their moment of triumph in this Twitch clip. While Bungie has yet to confirm their win, it's all but a given that Roen and company will be handed out the Root of Nightmares raid race winners belt.

We would like to congratulate the team on their amazing victory and we're sure all Destiny 2 fans will be eagerly awaiting what new content the raid completion unlocks once Bungie decides to confirm their deserved victory.
