A classic Square Enix RPG is getting a remaster to let a new audience enjoy it: Romancig SaGa - Minstrel Song. Remastered.
Square Enix makes RPGs like Activision makes Call of Dutys: Constantly. The difference is that the Square Enix RPGs, despite their volume, all have a soul and a heart, and that fact dates back to the PS2 era as well. Some of the greatest Final Fantasys were released on The PlayStation 2, and overshadowed other masterpieces that Square Enix put out. One of them is Romance SaGa: Minstrel Song, which is now getting a remaster.
Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered Release Date
Square Enix has announced that Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered will be releasing this Winter of 2022, but we didn't get a specific date. What was specified though, are the systems the game is releasing for: The PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and the PC. Also, the game will be coming to iOS and Android.
Romancing SaGa is truly a Square Enix classic, with its history dating back to 1992, when it was first released for the SNES. The game was then remade for the PS2, adding the tag 'Minstrel Song', where it became an instant classic. Now, Square Enix is looking to repeat that process, by remaking the game yet again, and releasing it for this generation of gamers.
The new remaster will imrpove playability by adding high-res graphics, along with a number of quality of life gameplay improvements. Of course, this is not the only game that Square Enix is remaking: Final Fantasy is still riding its remake wave, and Final Fantasy 9 is rumored to be getting the same treatment very soon.
