So Epic just revealed Rumbleverse at the 2021 Game Awards, and the game looks a lot like Fortnite, except... it's a melee battle royale.

Let's get right into this: Rumbleverse is essentially Fortnite, except that it's a battle royale and you will literally be slamming people from skyscrapers. If you had told me that this was a Fortnite melee expansion, I would've believed you. That's how similar the graphics are, Seriously, this game comes as a real surprise, mostly because it's published by Epic themselves and has an eerie – more than eerie – resemblance to Fortnite. But... judge for yourself:

Here's what the devs themselves have to say about the game:
“This journey began for us with an idea to create an experience that was social, competitive, and chaotic. We wanted to build a big, hilarious playground where spectacular things are always happening. Rumbleverse combines our love for melee combat with the teamwork and player expression that have made games such a crucial source of human interaction."
While Epic is publishing the game, Iron Galaxy are developing it. As a melee combat lover, I can't help but be excited and I am looking forward to the official Rumbleverse gameplay reveal tomorrow, on December 10. For more info, do check out the Rumbleverse website.
