Our next project, we're working on original content right now. We can't talk about what that is, but that's the next step in the evolution for us. Our team is a very highly experienced team, the average experience among most people is about 15 years, and all of them come from original development. It's not like we're a bunch of developers that got trained up on making remasters and remakes. We have that original game development mindset in our hearts, and that's what we're now ready, finally ready with the support of Sony to push forward and show what we can do, and show what PlayStation can do.
Now, where this really gets interesting is once you enter prolific leaker Millie A. Who is Millie A? Oh, she just leaked most of the recent PlayStation Showcases before they even took place, and she leaked Insomniac's upcoming Wolverine game, before it was revealed. This time, Millie A took to Twitter to state the following:
Bluepoint who are an official PlayStation Studio as of yesterday, have 2 projects in development.1) An original game that is a similar size to Insomniac's Miles Morales 2) Remake of a beloved game
— Millie A (@millieamand) September 30, 2021
This is exciting for two reasons: A new, original IP, the size of Miles Morales? Hype. A beloved Sony franchise getting a remaster or remake... uhm... hype! Also, this is where my headline comes into play: A Bloodborne remake has been rumored for forever, and who better to tackle it, than the developers who did a masterful job at remastering Demon's Souls? They already got the link-up with FromSoftware, they got the mechanics down, they have the assets... you see where I'm coming from, right? If there's ever going to be a Bloodborne remake or remaster... this is it.
- If you can't take this waiting for a Bloodborne remake that may never come, then this is for you: This Game is Basically Bloodborne Set in China
Of course, this is all speculation at this point, but what more can we do? I'm just connecting the dots here, being a thirsty, desperate gamer that wants to see one of his favorite games be remade for the newest generation. Do me this solid, will you... Bluepoint? Sony? Thank you.
