Starfield is the first new IP that Bethesda is working on and if the company that developed Elder Scrolls and Fallout is working on a new RPG, it's a pretty big deal. Now it was confirmed that Starfield will be exclusive to Xbox and PC.
This is huge news! A Triple-A Bethesda RPG will be an exclusive Xbox and PC title! This is just absolutely huge news for anyone that cares about RPGs. Also it casts serious, serious doubt on whether The Elder Scrolls 6 will come to the PlayStation. If Microsoft's deal with Bethesda is firm enough to keep Starfield away from the PlayStation... then it's not looking good for PS4 and PS5 gamers.
But... let's first tell you everything we know:
Starfield is an Xbox and PC Exclusive
This shocker of an announcement comes our way via Jeff Grubb, a reputable gaming journalist that doesn't really just leak things as much as he confirms them:
Starfield is exclusive to Xbox and PC. Period. This is me confirming that. https://t.co/j78Msk8nyG

There is no point in repeating just how huge this announcement is, but it is worth stating how surprising this is. We really didn't think that Microsoft's deal with Bethesda would include games that are already announced. If Starfield is an Xbox exclusive, then it pains us to say... but it seems more and more likely that The Elder Scrolls 6 might also be an Xbox exclusive.
Starfield Release Date
There is no official release date yet, but rumors place the game for a November 2021 release window. Others, like Jeff Grubb, believe that the game will first appear at E3 2021 and say that a release date in 2021 is unlikely.
Whatever the release date, PlayStation owners probably don't even care anymore at this point, but to make things worse – here's a leaked Starfield image:
