Chivalry 2 is starting its beta soon, and it's the closest we'll get to a melee battle royale game. Never heard of Chivalry 2? Well, that's obviously about to change, isn't it?
Right off the bat: Chivalry 2 is a 64-player mass-combat multiplayer game with all the melee action you could possibly want. Tired of shooting people in competitive shooters? Well, then this is the competitive sword-fighting game you've been waiting for. Plus, if that's got you feeling some type of way, here's the even better news: The beta for Chivalry 2 is basically starting now.
What is Chivalry 2?
Chivalry 2 is essentially a large map with 64 players all trying to cut each other up. It's first-person melee action at its finest. Also... it's basically one of a kind: There's Mordhau and then there's Chivalry and that's basically it for the genre of first-person slashing.
In Chivalry, you go into battle as one of twelve subclasses and use heavy siege engines next to your variety of melee weapons. The game's rumored to have a Battle Royale mode and confirmed to come with Team Deathmatch, Free-for-All, and the Team Objective mode 'The Siege of Rudhelm', which adds strategy to the slaying.

Yes, Chivalry 2 will have crossplay support between all systems. What a time to be alive, huh? Loving this whole crossplay thing lately. The beta will also have crossplay, so you can cross-test the beta to your heart's content and slice up those Xbots you don't like or smash Sony-Pony heads. That or you school PC master race scrubs.
