What's more juicy than a nice, extra-large portion of Twitch wars? That's right, nothing! We've received a fine amount of dosage in the past 24 hours that includes stream-sniping at a $500,000 event, famous streamer Félix "xQc" Lengyel getting banned from Twitch and another stream darling - Michael "shroud" Grzesiek, reacting rather strong to it.
The last 24 hours on Twitch have been filled up with the wrong type of excitement. What do you not want to do when you are a famous streamer and a Twitch Partner? Do something stupid that would get you banned and affect your image negatively. Which is exactly what xQc did during a, wait for it, Fall Guys Twitch Rivals event.
xQc Banned, Shroud Not Impressed
In what Shroud called a "Twitch history" moment, xQc did, in all objectivity, something exxxtremely dumb. He stream-sniped during the GlitchCon 2020 Twitch Rivals Fall Guys event, which is against Twitch's rules of conduct and could get your ass thrown off the platform.
The whole thing was caught and discussed in broad by some of the most popular Twitch and YouTube personalities Shroud, Benjamin "DrLupo" Lupo and Tyler "Tyler1" Steinkamp. The former two were direct victims as it was their match xQc invaded. Unsurprisingly, they didn't take his shenanigans lightly.
At first, it was nothing more than accusations. Probable, but unconfirmed accusations. That is until xQc himself did not go out and admit his guilt of stream-sniping.
Stop defending my everywhere for no reason. We got into the final game with @DrLupo and @shroud 's team. We shouldn't of done it and it was wrong. I'm sorry for my actions. I thought it would be funny. It did not change the outcome but it was still malicious. Sorry.

While the French-Canadian streamer apologized and some, including Shroud himself, expressed their doubts Twitch would do anything about it, that turned out to be far from the truth. You could argue that the punishment could have been even harsher, but given the concerns there wasn't going to be any at all, it should do.
At GlitchCon our player conduct rules were violated. We require all participants to abide by the same rules in order to play in a tournament. As a result, xQc has been issued a temporary Twitch account suspension, a temporary Twitch Rivals ban & forfeited associated prize money. pic.twitter.com/SA8umOdS9E

The bans and reparations imposed on xQc are:
- 7-day ban from Twitch
- 6-month ban from Twitch Rivals events
- Must return prize money won at GlitchCon
Do you feel that's enough or did he get the Twitch Partner discount?
