Immortal Rank in Valorant

Immortal is the second-highest rank tier in the Valorant Competitive System. It represents high dedication and impressive skills, and is achieved by some of the best players, including professional players. Only about 1% of all players have this rank.

Rank Top % of all players % of players in this rank
Immortal 1 1% 0.7%
Immortal 2 0.3% 0.2%
Immortal 3 0.1% 0.1%

So, if you were in a room with 100 Valorant players, you would statistically be better than 99 of them. That says a lot, doesn't it?

The only thing that separates Immortal players from the Radiant ones is the time spent grinding. In terms of skills, it's usually similar, but reaching the highest rank in Valorant requires climbing the ranked ladder over time. If you are an Immortal player, your skills are exceptional, and you are likely ready to go pro.

How Many Hours Do You Need To Achieve Immortal?

The time required to achieve Immortal rank depends on your experience with FPS games. If you had a high rank in games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, you can reach Immortal in less than 500 hours. However, for most players, it will take around 1500 hours of dedicated playtime. For beginners starting from Iron rank, it may even take 3000 hours. Considering that it's only about 1% of the player base, it won't be easy for everyone.

If you play less than 30 hours every week, you might have a hard time reaching the Immortal rank. This is evident in Diamond rank, where players are trying hard, playing 5+ games per day. The RR (rank rating) gains at Diamond are relatively low, so you need to dedicate yourself or else you will get stuck.

How Do You Get a Radiant Rank in Valorant?

However, for some players, Immortal is not enough. There are ambitious individuals who are determined to reach the highest rank, no matter what. Here are some tips for them:

  • Stay focused on the game: Avoid distractions like music or social media. Getting into the top 0.03% of the distribution requires intense concentration. If you can't focus on a particular day, it's okay to play Deathmatch or Unrated and come back the next day. But don't play when your mind is scattered, as it won't be worth your RR points. To be among the best, you need to perform at your best.
  • Be patient: RR gains at Immortal rank are not very high. It mostly depends on having good win streaks, since everyone is skilled at that level. You just need to have a few exceptional sessions, or "your days." But those days don't happen every day, so do your best and aim for those rewarding win streaks.
  • Analyze your games with your duo partner: Growth begins when you acknowledge your weaknesses. Look at your gameplay from a third-person perspective to identify areas for improvement. If you already record your games, review them with your duo partner or a skilled player who can provide constructive criticism.
  • Focus on your weaknesses: If you are already proficient in something, there's no need to focus on it further. Instead, concentrate on the aspects that require improvement. It could be communication, movement, or managing tilt. Identify your weaknesses and work on them.
  • Don't underestimate practice: Although you may already practice diligently, it's important to approach practice thoughtfully rather than simply going through the motions. Even a slight improvement in reaction time can make a significant difference in a Valorant match. Take note of professional VCT players and how they repeatedly go through their aim practice routines before matches.

As you can see, these tips focus more on mindset rather than specific aim and movement techniques because you already possess the necessary skills. The key is to grind smart, not just hard. In other words, be both strategic and dedicated to reach that coveted Radiant rank.
