The Wayward Realms is a new open-world RPG from some of the developers behind The Elder Scrolls series. It turns out that the two lead developers from The Elder Scrolls: Arena and Daggerfall are now developing a procedurally generated RPG clearly inspired by their previous work. Here's everything you need to know about The Wayward Realms.
This new RPG from Ted Peterson and Julian LeFay, former Elder Scrolls lead developers, looks pretty bloody cool. We haven't seen a whole lot yet, but from everything that has been made clear in the teaser trailer (see below), it sure-as-hell looks promising. What is The Wayward Realms, should you be excited about it, and will it be a spiritual successor to the first two Elder Scrolls games?
Are you excited about Wayward Realms? Or are you going to stick it out until The Elder Scrolls 6 for your next hit of open-world RPG action? Here's the latest on the next Elder Scrolls game...

What is The Wayward Realms?
The Wayward Realms is a new procedurally generated open-world RPG from the developers behind The Elder Scrolls series. The game is apparently going to be set across one hundred realistically-scaled islands that are being termed "The Archipeligo". It looks absolutely incredible, to be honest, and you should definitely check out the teaser trailer:
They are going for the whole waring-Kingdoms vibe, and it will be a huge RPG with apparently hundreds of thousands of NPCs. What's more, the game is going to have a D&D-style Dungeon Master who will keep the story going and relay the game's insanely complicated lore to you. Oh my, it looks like The Wayward Kingdom is set to steal my heart...
The Wayward Kingdom will apparently bring "modern development standards and quality-of-life advancements to the design philosophy of classic role-playing games." Isn't that just neat? I mean seriously, a game like this is my absolute jam, and if it is at all similar to The Elder Scrolls, Dungeons and Dragons, or other massive RPGs of their ilk... then The Wayward Kingdom is going to be an absolute winner!
What is The Wayward Kingdom's Release Date?
The game does not have a release date as of writing. You can, however, check out the game's Steam Page for tons of new information and screenshots about this spiritual successor to classic Elder Scrolls games. Oh, and just one last thing, did we mention that this game is developed by the former lead designers of The Elder Scrolls: Arena and Daggerfall? Yeah? Oh. Okay. Anyway. Doesn't this just sound incredible?
