With Source 2 just around the corner, everyone has only one question: what will happen to my skins?
The release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 is almost certain. It seems to be only a matter of time when Valve will release the next version of the iconic FPS.
On the other hand, let's note that Counter Strike Global Offensive as we know it wasn't even that beloved by gamers without an absolutely amazing community market. Valve has managed to create a thriving and prosperous economy that benefits everyone - us players, and Valve.
CS:GO 2 Is Coming Out, But What About The Skins In CS:GO?
The news about Counter Strike Global Offensive Source 2 has really pleased our gaming community. Along with the incredible hype however, we have also been forced to start speculating about our skins. While we have already begun to sell our precious acquisitions on the community market, Gabe Follower, our valuable leaker, has rushed to us with an answer:
It won't be new game, it won't be Counter-Strike 2, it won't be even a rebrand, just CS:GO Source 2And your skins are fine, they will be available in new version.

Oof, what a relief... Although it actually makes sense.
If Valve ignored such an important factor, it would lead to the complete and utter disintegration of the CS-community. The skin economy has become an integral part of the CS:GO community, and failure to migrate to the new/updated version would lead to a declining player base and a much less vibrant community. Valve could not afford such losses.
In conclusion, we can be sure that our skins are safe!
