Y’all remember how Microsoft bought Bethesda? Fans of the company — or rather the games — have been on the edges of their seats ever since. Because now the question is: Will Bethesda games become Microsoft & Xbox exclusives?
When news dropped about Microsoft buying Bethesda, jaws dropped. Mine did too. A ballsy move that nobody had expected, yet made a lot of sense from a financial point of view. Microsoft just got themselves one of the biggest gaming companies out there and a cringy Todd Howard on top.
Once the memes started disappearing, however, the realization hit: What’s going to happen to The Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout, Starfield, and all the other Bethesda games now? What about the rich PS5 players that will not be privileged for once?
Will All Bethesda Games Become Xbox & Microsoft Exclusives?
Here’s the thing. Microsoft has previously stated that they will not pull the plug on games like The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76. xXVaGina_DeStroyerXx already does that for them, after all.
But in all seriousness, if you’re playing these games on your PlayStation, don’t worry. Nothing will happen here. You can still play all existing Bethesda games on PlayStation.

Starfield and the next The Elder Scrolls 6, though? We’re not sure. And neither is Microsoft. Todd Howard has come forward with vague answers like him finding it “hard to imagine” that these games will become exclusives, but Todd is now a puppet just like Lydia is a puppet to the Dragonborn. Or… was that just me?
Apparently, there are rumors about upcoming conferences for both Microsoft and Bethesda itself circling around. If these turn out to be true, then we will definitely get more answers there.
Until then, we all have to shiver when thinking about the future of Skyrim... on an Xbox.
