With the XDefiant open beta, you can now check out Ubisoft's new arena shooter for yourself. Here's everything you need to know about the open beta, such as when it starts, the release date, how to register, and the platforms it will be available on.
XDefiant is a new shooter game made by Ubisoft, created by former Call of Duty developers and professional players. It's like a classic Call of Duty game without the Warzone mode, focusing on fast-paced arena gameplay.
We already participated in the closed beta and we strongly suggest you you try out XDefiant. It's similar to Black Ops 4 but designed with a focus on competitive play.
XDefiant Open Beta: Dates & End Time
The XDefiant open beta will begin on Wednesday, June 21 at 10:00 am PT (1:00 pm ET / 6:00 pm BST / 7pm CEST), and will last until the same time on Friday, June 23. If you played the game during the closed beta then your account will be able to access the servers 24 hours earlier on Tuesday, June 20.
XDefiant Beta: Platforms
The XDefiant beta will only be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Although the game was originally listed as being available for PS4 and Xbox One, Ubisoft have quietly removed mentions of old-gen consoles from the XDefiant website, and so we are fairly certain the game is a next-gen exclusive.
XDefiant Beta: Download & File Size
You don't need to pre-register, simply download the XDefiant Beta from the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store, or Ubisoft Connect. The XDefiant Beta should become available for preload 24 hours before release. The beta file size is 28 GB.
XDefiant Open Beta: Content
The Open Beta offers a ton of content. We're getting all weapons and all factions to play around with, as well as 14 maps. We expect the exact same offering this time around.
And that was everything we know so far about the XDefiant beta, we hope you found it helpful. If you need something to play until then, MW2 Season 4 has just begun.
We've been getting some very intriguing reveals from Ubisoft recently:
