The Wind Waker Unreal Engine Remake is Beautiful
Have you ever imagined The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker with unbelievably realistic water effects and graphics, but whilst still retaining that cartoony look? If you have then you'll be pretty excited when I tell you that Vitor Maccari, a 3D Artist and Animator has used Unreal Engine to do exactly that, and the results are absolutely unbelievable. The Wind Waker originally came out on the Nintendo GameCube and featured some pretty beautiful graphics for its time. The cell-shaded style brought many people joy, whilst others felt disappointed that the game hadn't gone further down the dark-style of Majora's Mask, which had been the previous title back on the N64. No matter what, no one can deny that The Wind Waker is one of the best Zelda games ever (a personal favorite of mine, in fact), and that a proper Unreal-Engine remake of The Wind Waker would be an absolute treat. Come on Nintendo, get to it!
