A new report claims that the beloved Warzone map Verdansk will return to the game in the next year.
Warzone had a bunch of different maps over the years, but none of them ever made fans quite as happy as Verdansk, the original map. Fans have been demanding for the classic location to come back, and it looks like this wish will finally be fulfilled.
Verdansk Returning To Warzone In 2024
According to a new report by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, the map is set to return at some point in 2024. This means that it won’t be connected to Modern Warfare 3, but rather the next Call of Duty, which is credibly rumored to be Black Ops Gulf War.
It’s not entirely clear when exactly Verdansk will come to Warzone again, but Henderson claims that this could possibly happen during season 1 of Black Ops Gulf War. Looking at the usual cadence of Call of Duty seasons, with Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 just having launched, fans can expect the return of Verdansk in December 2024.
Another question that Henderson tackles concerns the version of Verdansk. Over the years, the map saw many changes and different iterations. Henderson quotes a source in saying it will be a “fan-favorite season”, but is unable to concretely confirm what exactly is meant by that.
