Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is finally here, bringing us not only one of the most exciting themes ever to Battle Royale but also new characters, weapons, and locations!
There are really damn many new things... so let's dive right in!
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2: Map
The map has changed once again with Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths & Mortals and has brought some exciting new locations. All of them fitting perfectly with the theme "Greek Mythology". Here are all the new places awaiting you:
- Mount Olympus
- Grim Gate
- The Underworld
- Brawler's Battleground

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2: Battle Pass
Those who purchase the new Battle Pass can now include Greek godsin their locker! Here are all the unlockable skins from the Battle Pass:
- Cerberus (unlocked immediately!): Rise from the underworld.
- Aphrodite: Leader with heart.
- Poseidon: The slurping god of the seas. The king of the beach.
- Medusa: The stony defender of humanity.
- Zeus: The battle-tested leader of the gods.
- Artemis: All must obey the laws of nature, even the gods.
- Hades: The ruler of the underworld.
Later in the season, you also have the opportunity to unlock Korra from the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender.
The Battle Pass costs, as always, 950 V-Bucks, and within the Battle Pass, you can earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks, so it's worth it!
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2: New Gameplay Features
It also looks like the core gameplay is getting a bit mixed up. In Chapter 5 Season 2, there are the following major changes:
God Powers
The gods have come to the island with their powers and new mythical weapons as bosses.
With Thunderbolt of Zeus, you can rise into the air and hurl lightning bolts at your target! But Thunderbolt of Zeus isn't the only power of Olympus though. Fly through the skies with the Wings of Icarus and divebomb your opponents! But be careful: if you fly for too long, your wings will disintegrate, and if you take too much damage, it could lead to a crash landing.
You can also look forward to another Olympian Power – the Chains of Hades will unleash their attraction later in the season...
New Weapon Mods
The long-awaited weapon mods came into play last season, and with Season 2, some new ones arrived: The Thermal Scope and the Speedgrip.
- The Thermal Scope can be attached to any scoped weapon. This modification can more than double the strength of the scope and has a toggleable infrared view.
- With the Speedgrip, your movement speed increases when aiming.
As in the previous season, you can find modifications at mod workbenches, but this time they are located in the new Weapon Bunkers. The bunkers open in the middle of the match, and then you can loot them.

What would a new season be without new weapons? Of course, there are also a few familiar weapons on the island.
