Free games and the Epic Games Store, name me a more iconic duo. The publisher is usually giving away free games on the Epic Games Store every week, but this offer is getting even better during the holiday season. With the Mystery Game promotion, users can get even more free games! The catch: What game it is remains a secret until it becomes available, hence the name.

From Wednesday, December 13, 2023 to Thursday, January 4, 2024, players can get a free game every day on the Epic Games Store. Every day, a new free game will be revealed at 8:00 am PST / 11:00 am EST / 4:00 pm GMT. This promotion is part of the big Epic Games Store Holiday Sale, and it's ending soon! But we still have a few free games to look forward to.

Epic Games Store Free Mystery Game: A Plague Tale: Innocence Is The January 3 Title

The next mystery game has been announced! You've got one day to claim A Plague Tale: Innocence!

A Plague Tale: Innocence is an emotionally-driven action-adventure game set in medieval France during the Black Plague. You play as Amicia and follow the story of her and her younger brother Hugo as they navigate a world filled with disease, swarms of ravenous rats, and human adversaries.

This gripping narrative-driven game combines stealth, puzzle-solving, and exploration as players must protect Hugo while surviving the horrors of a plague-infested landscape.

Every new mystery game is hidden behind an image of wrapping paper. The design of the paper is allegedly offering hints on what to expect, but we struggled to really confirm that this year. This time, the teaser includes wrapping paper filled with joysticks, emblems that look like the Epic Games logo and joysticks wearing party hats. They really went all out for the last Mystery Game of this season!

What do you think the next Mystery Game could be? Let us know in the comments! If you want to have the fun mystery spoiled, check out the leaked list of remaining games:
