There are some Genshin Impact leaks which hint at major improvements to the wishing banners. There also seem to be changes to the Abyss and new ways to get your hands on 5-star weapons.
Genshin Impact is expanding its content and leakers have found some interesting adjustments that could make their way to the game soon. We are heading into Version 4.4 already, halfway through Fontaine, with Lantern Rite coming up soon. But what else have leakers found?
Some big changes to banners could be on the horizon, as well as adjustments to the Spiral Abyss. So, let's see whether these are changes we can get excited for or should just ignore.
Genshin Impact: New Birthday Banners, Spiral Abyss Buffs & More According To Leakers
Genshin Impact leakers Little Teyvat and Genshin Meow have revealed some information on changes to the permanent banner in Genshin Impact. According to their information, there will be limited-time birthday and anniversary banners with specific characters on them.
These would be short-time banners, but could ensure that some characters have reruns at least once a year. Some characters, like Eula and Albedo, are known to receive fewer reruns than other characters and with new additions, it will be even harder to receive a rerun with more options.
Along with these changes to the wishing banners, there could also be a new mechanism which could create secondary products like Starglitter. This could be pretty interesting as well for the future. There also seems to be some way to purchase some 5-star weapons directly as well in the works according to the leaks.
Spiral Abyss is also getting an update in either 4.4 or 4.5 if the leaks are correct. It was only revealed to be a "buff" which has some players confused, whether the Abyss is going to be getting more floors, or if it just means harder enemies, similar to the Spiral Abyss at the end of the Sumeru Act.
Either way, as long as the Thunder Manifestation is gone, I'm happy. But there seem to be quite a few exciting changes in the works for the Genshin community. Hopefully the birthday banners actually become a thing. We will likely find out more during the Genshin Live Stream on January 19.
