According to the latest leaks, Epic Games is planning to introduce an exciting new feature that was previously only known in games like GTA.
Fortnite, the popular battle royale game from Epic Games, could soon introduce an exciting new mechanic known as "Hijacking." Recent leaks, including those from the Fortnite Roadmap, suggest that this mechanic will allow players to pull their opponents out of vehicles, similar to what happens in Grand Theft Auto.
Yes, we are somehow getting GTA features in Fortnite before GTA 6.
Fortnite "Hijacking" Vehicle Mechanic Comes In Chapter 5 Season 3
The leaks come from well-known Spanish Fortnite leakers Loolo_WRLD and SpushFNBR. These two data miners have found hints that Epic is preparing this hijacking mechanic for the upcoming Season 3.
Essentially, this means that you can steal and take over another player's car. According to the latest leaks, you will just have to press a simple button to perform a "Steal" to take over the car.
It will also be possible to cancel the hijacking, which will then start a cooldown period. Additionally, the hijacking may fail if:
- The car is moving too fast
- The car is doing any other movement
- The car crashes
If the hijacking fails, the player will likely be ejected from the car as well.

The hijacking mechanic has created countless fun and action-packed moments in other games like GTA, and Epic may be planning to bring this GTA feature into Fortnite. This would at least fit with the leaked Apocalypse/Mad Max theme of Season 3.
This could lead to new and interesting strategies and funny teamplay moments. How it will exactly work to take over a car at high speed, we'll probably find out next season.
Of course, these are just leaks for now. As soon as Epic Games confirms the feature, or when we know more, we'll update you.
