With the newly released Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth story trailer, we finally got an in-depth look at the journey of Ichiban and Kiryu. There are many unanswered questions lingering in the air, and Infinite Wealth is about to answer them all, right?

Before we dive deep into the story trailer, be warned if you don't want to spoil yourself some key story elements, as they've shown a lot of details in the latest trailer, which could diminish the surprise once you see it and there are multiple occasions this could happen. Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth: Story Trailer Looks Like A Madhouse

In the 10-minute story trailer, we learn how Ichiban ends up stranded and naked on a Hawaii beach looking for his mother. The plot unfolds in typical RGG style, starting with a carefree journey to a sunny place and building up to a dramatic climax. Ichiban reunites with his friends and Kiryu encounters Majima, Saejima, and Dojima once more.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth marks a farewell to the yakuza, with a new organization in Hawaii on the uprise. To add more fuel to the already existing intensity, the trailer reveals Kiryu's fate, as he's facing a battle against cancer.

The trailer leaves us with a lot to digest, emphasizing the need to know basics from previous Yakuza games. It concludes a long journey and sets Ichiban and his crew on new adventures.

I'm already counting the days until Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth releases on January 26, 2024.
