It seems like Kayn is getting a huge quality of life update in LoL Patch 14.2. The champion already received this change on mobile and it's finally coming to PC.

Kayn is getting a slight quality of life (QoL) change in the upcoming League of Legends patch. While we're still patiently waiting for LoL Patch 14.1, there are a few things already on the PBE for the next patch update after the season start.

One of those is an update for Kayn that has PC players pretty happy, because this adjustment has been available for Wild Rift, the mobile version, already. It's about time we get it on PC as well, eh?

LoL Patch 14.2: Kayn's Ultimate Is Getting Adjusted

Kayn is one of the most popular solo queue junglers in the game thanks to his edgelord aesthetic and fun gameplay. But the champion is not without its faults and problems, one of which was his ultimate which could sometimes be messed up, by your own teammates even.

With Kayn's ultimate, the champion attaches to a target, channels his ultimate and deals damage to them. Depending on which form a player takes, the ultimate receives slightly different damage numbers and effects.

When playing as red Kayn, the Darkin, the champion also heals himself for a portion of the target's max health and damage dealt. Though, if the target dies before he can recast the ability, he does not receive his full healing, which hasn't always felt great.

Therefore, a change that had been added to Kayn in Wild Rift in patch 4.4d will come to League of Legends in Patch 14.2 and even if a target dies before he can recast his ult in Darkin form he'll still get the healing from R – but not the passive healing.

This is a great change for the Shadow Reaper and his player base. It's a change that should have been added for a while, since solo queue is rather chaotic and not everyone knows to let Kayn channel and recast his ultimate to get all the healing and stats possible for the champion.
