New bots are being added into the game to help players just starting out. These bots will be able to mimic real-game situations and are even going to be able to jungle and take neutral objectives which is going to give players a better introduction to League of Legends.

These bots will also help with players who want to test out new champions before taking them into battle, by simulating actual game situations. Now, Riot is also going to add in some new things from the preseason to make them even "more real".

LoL Season 14: Bots Will Be Able To Ride The Rift Herald

Riot DashiJador gave a quick update for players on Reddit regarding the upcoming new bots. There was a short time period on the Public Beta Environment where the new PvE bots were being tested, though these were just the beginner bots. The PBE testing went well and gave the team enough data to perfect the new AI Bots.

DashiJador also stated that they're aiming for early to mid for the release of the bots. He explained that it will depend on the other big beats, as well as how long it'll take for the team to build some advanced behaviors for bots like the one where you can now drive the Rift Herald into opponents and towers. So it looks like our bots will be able to do this as well in the future.

Of course, there are going to be differences in complexity between the intro, beginner and advanced bots, with introduction being the simplest, due to them primarily being for the new players to League of Legends who are still learning how everything works on Summoner's Rift.

There should be another dev update in early 2024 with more details on the results of the Beginner Bots PBE testing, as well as what is being planned for the Advanced Bots.
