The first stop on our trip around the universe? We go back to 2015 — can you believe that it has been over 6 years already? At this point and time in life, esports was nothing more than an obscure pastime for the general public. Playing video games for money? Please, that's nothing but a pipe dream and will only ruin a child's health! No way is something like this possible!

But alas, here we find ourselves, sitting at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin. Thousands of people cheering, watching as one of the most dominant teams of the year, SKT T1, face off against their bitter rivals the Koo Tigers. Bang vs. PraY, Wolf vs. GorillA and Marin vs. Smeb. The rivalry was legendary. Judging by the name of the skin, you probably know who won the game, eh? The 2015 World Champions were none other than SKT T1, winning their second cup. Up to this point, they are the only org to have lifted the Summoner's Cup twice!

A single tear slips as we watch these young, awkward dudes lift a trophy twice their size. Little did they know that they would be facing off in a years time once more in one of the most famous games of all time...

2015 was the year Kalista really got to shine, it seems. Not only did she receive a skin by the 2015 World Champions, but she was also chosen as the recipient of the Championship skin that year, celebrating the World Championship in Europe. Crazy... now she's one of the least played champions. Sadge. But it's time to move on, going back to SKT T1's heyday was fun, but we need to explore more Kalista skins! | © Riot Games

Marauder kalista skin — 2. Marauder Kalista

Our first stop is an alternate world filled with war. Magelords once ruled over the land of the Magelord empire with iron fists, but they have since vanished. Was it because of these so-called "Protectors" who swore to enforce a rigid and unforgiving system to slow the expansion of the Magelords?

Amongst the lost Magelords, we meet none other than Marauder Kalista herself. Magelord culture had once been segregated into various warrior-castes. Now, Magelords rule through fear. Kalista is one of the Magelords that had been lost to time, but now she has returned to seek vengeance upon the Wardens who destroyed everything she knew and loved.

We can't see her face, hidden beneath a thick helmet, only dark, glowing eyes glaring at us. She takes a heavy step forward, coming right at us, her heavy armored boot stomping into the ground. Does she think we're part of the Wardens? Is this our end?

We stand on a desolate battlefield, corpses all around, the only living creature being Kalista before us. She takes another step, then another before she stops just short. A single glance at us and she shakes her head, moving past. We survived! | © Riot Games

Blood Moon Kalista skin — 1. Blood Moon Kalista

We land in a dark and desolate land. The wind blows against our faces, foreboding the evil that is to come. Is it even safe to get out of our portal hopper? Should we roll up the windows and get out? Shivers run down our spine as we realize it's too late. We ended up right by some ancient cult seeking irresistible power. They spot us and we know we're doomed.

Amongst the crazies are other characters we've met before on our journey, Akali, a priestess of the blood moon, as well as Elise, who is a revered member of the cult. But nowhere do we spot Blood Moon Kalista. We hear stories though, and those stories send shivers down our spine — the bad kind.

According to the members of the cult, Kalista has become nothing more than a vengeance seeking demon. Sure, it's in character with her canon self, but being stuck in this tribe of crazy cultists who pray to demons, hoping to one day share the same vessel with them, is nerve wracking, and we prefer to get out of there as fast as possible.

We're about to sneak away from the cultists and back to safety when we spot her. Standing at the entrance to the cult grounds is the one we've been searching for. A horned skull mask stares at us, dead red eyes unmoving. She studies us, our heart racing, sweat pooling along our hairline. Kalista has come, and all we can pray for is that we're not deemed 'betrayers'... otherwise we'll end up as nothing more than decaying wall decoration. | © Riot Games

League of Legends is filled with beautiful women. Ahri, Lux, Zeri, they all encompass cute and adorable champions. On the other hand, we've also got some pretty nasty looking champs like Kog'Maw, Cho'Gath and Gragas. But, where does Kalista fit into all of this?

Her base skin is pretty cool, a ghost lady with a bunch of spears that she uses to pierce her enemies. Pulling the spears out of an opponent causes huge damage and usually kills her enemies. She is a cool champion for the bot lane who almost relies on another champion in her lane. Come on, her ultimate whips her allies in whatever direction she sees fit. It's a great engage tool, but also very risky if you don't know how to play her.

No, today we're getting back into our dimension hopping machine to check out the best skins that the Spear of Vengeance — what an epic name — has to offer. Now, one thing to mention is that sadly, Kalista doesn't have too many skins... We should protest and demand more skins from Riot, because Kalista deserves some love! But enough of that, time to get on and zoom off into the various universes in which Kalista appears in!
