Fallout New Vegas 2 Hint Found On Steam

Fallout 4 received an update on April 4, that has wakened the curiosity of many fans. After the “beta2” repository appeared a couple of weeks ago, players have now found a new added branch in the game's steam backend that is called "newvegas2". Although Bethesda has removed the branch again, it can still be found in the changelist history on SteamDB.

To this day, Fallout: New Vegas is still one of the most popular Fallout's ever, and fans are desperate to get a sequel. Although there is still nothing official to Fallout New Vegas 2, this might be the first hint, that Bethesda could actually be planning to renew or even create a sequel to Obsidians original.

Someone on Reddit suggested that it could be a placeholder for basically anything, since even the depot for the HD textures DLC was named as "Terrapin".

Fallout 4 is set to receive a significant next-gen update this year, and the recently discovered file names "newvegas2" have sparked speculation among fans about possible references to the previous game in the series. It's not uncommon for updates like these to include new content that pays homage to earlier games.Bethesda has already confirmed that the next-gen version of Fallout 4 will come with bonus Creation Club content, which suggests that some of the new content may indeed reference items from New Vegas. While it's still just speculation at this point, it's an exciting prospect for fans of the series.
