A new GTA 6 leak on TikTok claimed to have revealed a bunch of info on the game, including a potential release window.
Folks, stop me if you heard this one before: someone claimed to have leaked info on GTA 6. Wow, shocking. This latest one caught even more attention than most GTA 6 leaks, though. A kid posted videos and tons of details about GTA 6 on TikTok, including a claim that the game is targeting a release in Fall 2024.
Why is this so interesting? Every day, there’s someone claiming to have hot insider info on GTA 6. Well, this leaker credibly claimed to be a friend of Aaron Garbut’s son. Garbut is the co-studio head at Rockstar North and has been at the company since 1996, when it was still called DMA Design. So, a pretty good source, I would say!
GTA 6 TikTok Leak Sets Internet On Fire, Reveals Possible Release Window & Much More
The number of claims about GTA 6 by the leaker is staggering. Before his TikTok account was removed, the kid uploaded multiple videos, apparently showing the game in action. The map is set to be twice as big as Los Santos in GTA 5, with the notorious GTA 6 map leak apparently being correct according to the leaker.
In these videos and the comments, which were archived by GTA 6 Trailer Countdown on Twitter/X, the leaker went on to claim that there will be “3 major cities and 4 sub-cities” as well as a “large lake” located in the middle of the map. Another exciting claim is that the game is targeting a release in Fall 2024 and that recent reports claiming that GTA 6 pre-orders will be available shortly after the release of the trailer are correct.
This obviously spread like wildfire online. Tons of people immediately jumped on this like vultures, everyone was stumbling over themselves to check this out, spread it and discuss it. The aforementioned tweet has over 1.6 million views by the time of writing. It’s GTA 6, after all. Nothing comes close to it in terms of hype and attention.

Is The GTA 6 TikTok Leak Legit?
How credible is all of this? The leaker posted what looks like a private picture with Aaron Garbut and himself, with the kid’s face being pixelated. While this is definitely an ethical red flag, it was a shrewd move in giving this leak a lot of credibility. The videos seemed pretty legit too, even if they didn’t show too much and were pretty low quality.
The other claims don’t seem quite as legit. Explicitly referencing the map leak shows that the kid is well versed in the countless GTA 6 leaks and rumors out there. It seems like he is adding that and other familiar rumors for clout or to make himself look more impressive than he is.
The Fall 2024 release window has been the main speculation for years now, and he will most likely have been aware of the recent pre-order rumor. So it’s probably a mixture of genuinely new info from an insider source and some stuff that’s been floating around the internet for a while.
The TikTok account has quickly been taken down, including the videos of course. So far, it’s not known if this reckless action has had any consequences. A lot of comments immediately thought that Garbut would be fired, but considering that he has been literally at the company for longer than most of us have been alive, I don’t think that’s very realistic. Hopefully. The involved kids could be in a whole lot of trouble, though.
