The newest LoL champion, Hwei, has been shrouded in mystery ever since he was revealed by Riot Games. Recently, a new teaser has popped up on the PBE though, indicating that his release is near though, so people are starting to get excited.

With the reveal of Sylas and Thresh as cameos in the return of Arena, their skin bios have also already been found by data miners and in these skin bios, we know who is getting Winterblessed skins in 2023 – Hwei is one of them.

LoL: Release Patch For Hwei Accidentally Revealed

Hwei is going to be a mid lane mage who will be using the power of art and painting, but how exactly has not been revealed yet. He's going to be released in LoL Patch 13.24, if we can go by the skin bios from Sylas, who is confirmed to be getting a skin.

The disgraced inventor, Sylas, had long harbored a grudge against Polaris and had prepared a special device for this occasion: gauntlets capable of absorbing the Aurora. He'd tested it on Hwei earlier, but now turned his focus to Polaris. Powerless to resist, Senna's power was taken away, to be spread among Sylas, Camille, and Thresh.

In Sylas' skin bio it mentions Hwei by name, so it's basically confirmed that he is going to be part of the Winterblessed event in 2023, which will also mean he should be released with LoL Patch 13.24, when the others receive their skins.

Whether this was a mistake from Riot or intentional is unknown, but through these skin bios it's obvious that Hwei is going to be the final champion of 2023 and we won't have to wait until season 14 to get our hands on this unique new champion in the mid lane.
