Following his acclaimed role in Beef, Young Mazino is set to join the cast of The Last of Us Part 2. As he prepares to portray Jesse, Mazino has shared his impressions of the original video game and revealed that filming for his new role will begin soon.
In a conversation with Marc Malkin at Variety’s On the Carpet event, Young Mazino shared insights about his role in the upcoming Season 2 of HBO's The Last of Us.
Mazino will be portraying the character of Jesse from TLoU Part II. Jesse is a pragmatic, loyal, and level-headed individual with a strong sense of responsibility and leadership. He maintains a close friendship with Ellie and has a complex history with Dina stemming from their past romantic relationship.

Joining Mazino in the new season are Isabela Merced (Dina) and Kaitlyn Dever (Abby), as well as returning stars Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie).
Mazino "Played The Game" Before Taking On The Role Of Jesse
Mazino, who is preparing to start filming in two weeks, landed the role after meeting with the showrunners and discussing his familiarity with the video game.
"I played the video game before the meeting, and we had a long talk about their process and what they’re looking for." He also expressed admiration for the game, calling it "phenomenal," and is diligently preparing for his role, including horse riding and improving his shooting skills.
