The Game Awards are an annual award show to honor the best game related content of the past year. The 31 categories cover everything from “Game of the Year”, to “Best Sound Design” and even the “Content Creator of the Year” get a prize! And this time, there is a pretty special nominee for that category.
The VTubing community has been growing rapidly over the course of the last few years and months. Many big VTubers have lately been reaching the highest viewer count of their careers and a lot of people started to get interested in this virtual world.
So it's to no one’s surprise that even The Game Awards now feature a VTuber for the first in one of their 31 categories, and the nominee we are talking about is none other than Ironmouse herself!
The First VTuber Who Made It Into The Game Awards
The Game Awards is an annual award ceremony honoring achievements in the video game industry. The first time this event was organized was back in 2014, which means almost ten years ago! The show features 31 categories in total, and there are five nominations per section.
It is pretty obvious that getting nominated for such an award is an incredible honor and really shows how much dedication went into a project.
One of the newer categories is called “Content Creator of the Year” and is supposed to reward a streamer or a content creator who has made an important and positive impact on the community in the past year. Next to the other four nominees, being PMG (People Make Games), Quackity, Spreen and SypherPK, we have a pretty special last candidate: Ironmouse!
In my opinion, she really does deserve that last available slot!

Seems like not only her community is excited about the nomination!
Ironmouse is one of the biggest VTubers as of right now and is part of an agency called VShojo. Next to her, this company supports eleven other talents on their way to become a successful streamer and content creator, and it looks like they did a pretty good job with Ironmouse!
Personally, I have been around the VTubing community for a good while now. And even though Ironmouse gained a lot of attention and “fame” over the last few months, she is still one of the most humble streamers I know of. Her personality is the perfect mixture of quirky, caring and entertaining you could ever imagine, which is why she is probably nominated in The Game Awards as well!
