According to Wednesday Star Jenna Ortega, season 2 episodes are going to be way more "action-packed" than what we have seen before, and each episode will feel like a separate movie.
With Wednesday's season 2 soon starting production in 2024, fans are getting more and more excited about the new season. Wednesday Season 2: Jenna Ortega Teases Exciting Changes
Now that Jenna Ortega has joined the series in a production role alongside her role as Wednesday, she was kind enough to give us some hints for season 2. After seeing the scripts for Wednesday's new season, the 21-year-old actress revealed that each episode "feels like a movie" and that "we're definitely leaning a little more towards horror."
After the huge buzz surrounding the series since 2022, Netflix wants to enhance the next season with longer, more action-packed and horror-like episodes. The aim is to build on the successful first season, which received two Golden Globe nominations in 2023 in the categories "Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy" and "Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy", among others.
After some delays, production on Wednesday season 2 is set to begin soon in April 2024, meaning the next season could be released as early as 2026. As always, we will keep you up to date with all the latest news.
