If you want full chemistry for your Ultimate Team in EA FC 24 but still don't quite know how it works, no problem: Here's our quick guide that explains everything you need to know!

The 33-point chemistry system allows you to link every player on the field together. But understanding how to do that isn't easy for everyone. Speaking of understanding: How do you get all the players on the field to understand each other and create good chemistry?

EA FC 24 Ultimate Team: How The Chemistry System Works

Every player on the field can be linked together. It doesn't matter if you connect your striker with your goalkeeper or if your center-backs play for the same club. It's not important how you do it, but that you do it!

Three criteria influence the chemistry of your players and thus your team:

  1. Nationality
  2. League
  3. Club

The three "diamonds" or squares you see at the bottom left of the cards indicate how perfectly the player fits into your squad. If they're all filled in, he has perfect chemistry. The maximum level is reached with 33 points. Makes sense, because 11 × 3 (each player at max chem) equals 33.

Looks like someone's in the wrong position and getting 0 points! If you see a yellow exclamation mark at the bottom left of your player, you've placed them in the wrong position and they can't receive or generate chemistry.

Every club, league, and nation in your team is listed on the left in a bar. This way, you can keep track of who you could still add. The concept remains the same: The more players from a club, league, or nation you have in the starting lineup, the better your chemistry will be. Players on the bench don't affect chemistry.

Men and women can also get chemistry in a team. The same system applies, as explained below. Only when it comes to the "League" will it be difficult to reconcile them.

To increase chemistry in FC 24, you have to pay attention. Only players who are used in the right positions receive chemistry values.

For example: Kimmich plays both CDM and right-back for Bayern, so you can also use him flexibly in UT. Many players are adjusted to their real positions. You can find the positions in the player menu.

But always make sure it's actually possible to use your player in the desired position!

How To Improve Your Chemistry:

  • 2 players from one club or nation = +1 chemistry
  • 3 players from one league = +1 chemistry
  • 4 players from one club = +2 chemistry
  • 5 players from one nation or league = +2 chemistry
  • 7 players from one club = +3 chemistry
  • 8 players from one nation or league = +3 chemistry

Pay attention to the small grayed-out player heads on the left, as they indicate how many more players you need to add to fill the next chemistry square. If at the end you're missing exactly one square for one player and you're despairing, then also think about the managers/coaches.

Icons, Heroes, And Managers

Icons and Heroes maintain their special ability to provide optimal links. Icons count as 2 player heads for nations, while UT Heroes count as two players for the league. Managers count as one player for league and nation.

But it's important to know that Icons don't have a league with which they generate chemistry. So it can happen in EA FC 24 that you even lose chemistry when you add an Icon. So always pay attention to whether Icons really bring you advantages, or if you should use them as Super Subs instead.
