Even in EA FC 24, this simple trick should not be overlooked: the stepover. In almost every previous FIFA edition, this simple feint was part of every skill set. And this year, too, the stepover should not be forgotten!
EA FC 24: How Does The Stepover Work?
When it comes to mastering the best and most effective tricks, it often involves more complex 4 or 5*-Skills. In this guide, however, we show you the stepover, which requires only 2*-Skills and is still mega effective.
The application range of this skill is hard to define, as it is applicable anywhere and by any player on the field.
Trick Execution:
- Left stick determines the direction of movement
- Right stick: R ↰ or R ↲ (from center right to up/from center right to down (45°))
- During the skill, adjust the movement direction with the left stick as desired
About Points 1 and 2:
- We assume a rightward direction of movement! Meaning, if you are moving left, you start with the right stick at center-left. If you are moving up, the right stick starts at the top center, and so on.
About Point 3:
- Move the left stick during the exit in the desired direction. This is what makes this skill so effective! Perform the stepover to then burst into a gap.
- If you move the left stick forward, you can also get a pace boost which will have you at maximum speed at the end of the skill.
You can already see that the stepover is not the most difficult skill. Nor should it be! The simplicity of this trick makes it so OP.
If it doesn't work at first: Practice makes perfect! It may sound cliché, but it's always true. Practice in training mode and in games against the AI until you get better at the trick.
