With the upcoming version 2.0 of Honkai Star Rail, HoYoverse will implement a lot of new world interactions and puzzle mechanics into the game. Some of them, are pretty unique and so that you aren’t completely lost when being faced with one of these new obstacles, we will explain them to you one by one. This time we will be looking into the Dreamwalking.
The new version 2.0 of Honkai Star Rail will add an entirely new planet into the game, called Penacony! In this region, things just aren’t as they seem to be, and it is a place full of tricks and dreams. Entertainment is everything here, and you should really be careful to not get fooled by the shiny façade the people like to keep here.
There will be a lot of occasions, where rational thinking won’t get you anywhere due to the sheer awkwardness of Penacony, and it is important to understand all the new game mechanics! This time around, we will learn how to be a Dreamwalker!
Honkai Star Rail: Dreamscape Guide – Dreamwalker
Dreamwalking does not only sound incredibly cool, it really is a super fun new mechanic HoYoverse has come up with, which allows the player to get a completely new perspective on all the things they see. — Quite literally!
To put it in a nutshell: The normal laws of gravity do not apply in the Dreamscapes of Penacony, which is why the player will be able to climb walls without any further problems. If you're wondering how this is supposed to work and which rope you need to pack, then we can ease your mind. Instead of actually climbing, you simply rotate the whole space! Easy, right?
There is basically no limit of interactions between the player and the dream space they are inside, which is sometimes a little hard to wrap your mind around.
In order to construct these walkable yellow Dream Bubble Bridges, you have to use Dream Bubble Charges. Across the whole Dreamscapes, you can find Bubble Towers, which hold viscous Memoria within them, and touching one of these towers will grant you Dream Bubble Charges! Depending on the Bubble Tower, you can hold multiple stacks of charges.
Equipped with a Dream Bubble Charge, you can now go on and find a discrete Dream Bubble on the ground or in a corner and use your change near them. This will make the discrete Dream Bubble change its form into a walkable bridge, as you can see it in the picture above!
There are many more situations to use Dream Bubble Charges, however, it’s pretty obvious that we have to have quite a bit of fantasy in order to think of all the possible interactions.
