Sparkle is one of the upcoming characters we will get to see during the 2.0 update of Honkai Star Rail. Her entire kit is at least as unique as her personality, and will definitely enable some rather strange team comp options!
If you plan on pulling for Sparkle, you should know, that she is part of the second phase of the 2.0 Penacony update, which will be up on February 27, 2024! I bet many of you are quite interested in this mischievous lady, so how about we take a look at her best builds, shall we?
Honkai Star Rail Sparkle Build: Best Light Cones & Team Comp
As mentioned a little earlier, Sparkle is a rather mysterious person who doesn't reveal much about herself, but when she does, you should always assume that it was all an act. Her life is a theatrical performance, and she loves nothing more than to slip into different roles and live life according to her very own rules.
📌 Sparkle Overview | |
Banner Start: | February 29, 2024 |
Element & Path: | Quantum / The Harmony |
Rarity: | 5-Star |
Pre Release Ranking: | S+ Tier |
Difficulty: | easy / mid |
All this makes her not only extremely exciting but also quite dangerous. Sparkle has many faces with which she makes people dance to her tune. She is not even slightly interested in money or her reputation, all she cares about is her very own form of show and amusement.
Personally, I really love the theme Sparkle has going on for her, and I will most likely test my luck with some pulls on her banner as well!
Sparkle's Build
In order to make your Sparkle build as good as somehow possible, you should aim to give her a completed 4-piece set together with a 2-piece set. If there is really no other option, you can also try to farm up three 2-piece sets instead.
Sparkle's build is a little different from existing Harmony characters, because one of her most important stats is actually Crit DMG, which is a pretty offensive stat for a support unit! Next to that, a bunch of SPD is also super crucial! This is why I would recommend the following set:
Set Combination #1
You should use this set, for her best performance and amazing team support:
- 4-piece: Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
- 2-piece: Broken Kneel
Set Combination #2
This option is quite good, if you can't find a 4-piece with good sub stats. Next to that, she will deal a little more DMG like this:
- 2-piece: Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
- 2-piece: Genius of Brilliant Stars
- 2-piece: Broken Kneel
Sparkle's Best Stats
The right (sub)stats are just as crucial as the correct set and in Sparkle's case, maybe even a little more important than usual! You should aim for the following stats:
- Body: Crit DMG (at all cost)
- Booots: SPD / ATK%
- Planar Sphere: HP% / DEF%
- Link Rope: Energy Regeneration Rate
- Overall Prio: Crit DMG → SPD (145) → HP% / DEF% → Effect Resistance
If you don’t really know how Sparkle's kit works, you should note, that she gives teammates a part of her own Crit DMG! This is why you should have a decent amount of it. However, do not forget about SPD either, since she needs around 145. If that's done, you can focus on her survivability.
Sparkle's Light Cones
Usually I'd recommend, in this part, to save your Stellar Jades and to take a free to play alternative for Sparkle instead. However, even though she is “just” a support unit, her very own signature Light Cone is a huge deal since it can buff your entire team's Crit DMG and Crit RATE!
1. Earthly Escapade
As I already mentioned, this Light Cone is definitely worth your Stellar Jades. It provides a ton of utility to your entire team and further increases your damage by a lot! If you enjoy Sparkle and her kit, you should at least try to get this one for her.
Earthly Escapade has the following effect:
- Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 40%. The wearer gains Mask at the beginning of battle. While the wearer has Mask, the wearer's allies have their CRIT Rate increased by 10% and CRIT DMG increased by 24% for 4 turn(s). Whenever the wearer recovers a Skill Point (including Skill Points exceeding the limit), they gain a stack of Fireworks, and when the wearer has 4 Fireworks stacks, removes all the stacks and gains Mask. (S1)
2. Dance! Dance! Dance!
This Light Cone is just a staple for every Harmony character. SPD is one of the most valuable stats in the entire game, and Dane! Dance! Dance! gives a lot of it to the whole team! One of the best all-rounder weapons for supports!
Dance! Dance Dance! has the following effect:
- When the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies' actions are advanced forward by 16% (S1)
3. Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds
This Light Cone option isn’t any less good than Dance! Dance! Dance! but it’s a little less reliable. All the possible buffs are quite good, however it’s always a little gamble which one you will get! (That shouldn’t be a problem to a gacha game player anyway …)
Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds has the following effect:
- One of the following effects is applied randomly at the start of combat and whenever the wearer takes action: Increase all allies' ATK by 10%, increase all allies' CRIT DMG by 12%, or increase all allies' Energy Regeneration Rate by 6%. The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied, and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when the wearer has been knocked down. Effects of the similar type cannot be stacked. (S1)
Personally, I will probably go with Dance! Dance! Dance! if I can’t get Sparkle's signature Light Cone. I like how reliable it is and that the damage I deal stays consistent.
Sparkle's Team Comp
One of Sparkle's signature skills is the Skill Point regeneration, or to be a little more precise, the fact that she can create additional Skill Points! As of right now, no other character can do that, which makes her quite unique.
Since Sparkle does have a quite special relation to Skill Point usage, how about we pair her up with the most Skill Point hungry character in the entire game: Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae!
To be fair, this team's core units are Dang Heng IL and Sparkle. You can switch out the other two slots for another tank or even a healer, and the second one for any buffer you might have on your account as well. Seems like a really efficient method to solve Dan Heng IL's Skill Point issue!
And that wraps up everything you have to know about Sparkle and her builds. Will you pull for her in the upcoming banner? — Good luck to all Sparkle wanters! (I really hope I can somehow get her …)
