Changli, Jinhsi's counsellor and the smart and beautiful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ playable character whose abilities and appearance are inspired by Zhūquè, the Vermillion Bird, is one of the highly sought-after characters in Wuthering Waves.

For players who don't know, Changli is a Sword wielder and a Fusion Element user in Wuthering Waves, making her debut in the second half of the version 1.1 update.

Now that we already have decent information on her entire character kit, I am here with a detailed guide on the best build for Changli in Wuthering Waves. I break down her character kit and discuss her best weapons, Echoes, Echo Sets, team comps, and much more.

The Best Changli Build In WuWa - Character Kit Explanation And More

The best build for Changli focuses on improving her Resonance Skill damage, Fusion DMG%, CRIT Rate%, CRIT DMG% and basic attributes like ATK% and ER% though the main focus is on the first four stats.

Similar to other Resonators, Changli also has multiple states that govern her attacks and their damage. For example, when you use Changli's basic attacks on ground or mid air and complete the four-hit combo, you enter a state called True Sight for 12 seconds.

You can also enter this special state by using Changli's Resonance Skill, "Tripartite Flames," which allows you to enter the True Sight state for 12 seconds as soon as the skill is used.

And that is not it, as you also enter the True Sight state when you use Changli's Intro Skill, "Obedience of Rules."

So, what is this True Sight state? To put it in layman's terms, True Sight is a modifier that changes your Basic Attack while treating the damage inflicted on enemies as a Resonance Skill DMG.

For example, if your Basic Attack is upgraded to Level 10, the combo has a damage multiplier of 50.70% + 29.58% x4. Meanwhile, the Basic Attack combo called "True Sight—Conquest" under the True Sight state scales with the Resonance Skill damage multiplier, which is 58.95% x2 + 82.52% + 94.31%.

In short, you deal way more damage under the True Sight state than in the normal state. Moreover, if you add Changli's Forte Circuit stacks, aka stacks of [Enflamement], you get a special Heavy Attack called Flaming Sacrifice that deals massive damage, which is considered a Resonance Skill damage.

Now, how do you gain these stacks of [Enflamement]? It's pretty simple: You gain one stack whenever you use True Sight—Conquest and True Sight—Charge with full four stacks when using her Resonance Liberation, Radiance of Fealty.

I know all these can be overwhelming to many new players who rather want direct, simple answers on how to play Changli. So, here's a breakdown of everything I talked about so far:

True Sight State
- How to enter: Perform any of the following
  - Perform four hit basic attacks on the ground or mid-air
  - Changli's Into Skill
  - Changli's Resonance Skill

Best Weapons For Changli In Wuthering Waves

As always, Changli's best weapon in Wuthering Waves is her signature sword, Blazing Brilliance, which improves her ATK%, CRIT Rate%, and Resonance Skill DMG.

While most characters' signature weapon mainly offers a CRIT Rate of CRIT DMG-based sub stat, Changli's sword has an ATK% based Sub Stat, which is not bad, but something to pay attention to while choosing her Echoes as you won't be getting a massive CRIT Rate% increase just from her weapon.

That being said, you can also use the Emerald of Genesis on Changli. It is going to be the best ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ alternative weapon for her, as it offers a CRIT Rate% based sub stat and increases ER% and ATK% through weapon skill.

Now, when it comes to ⭐⭐⭐⭐ weapons, Lumingloss is the perfect fit for Changli as the increase in Basic ATK DMG and Heavy ATK DMG will massively help you in dishing out very high damage, especially after doing the above combo and utilizing the Forte Circuit modifiers.

Some other great weapons to use on Changli are Commando of Conviction (⭐⭐⭐⭐), Lunar Cutter (⭐⭐⭐⭐) and Sword of Night (⭐⭐⭐).

The best Echo Set for Changli in Wuthering Waves is the Molten Rift set, as it increases Fusion DMG by +10% with another +30% when you use her Resonance Skill.

However, if you want to use Changli as a Sub DPS and utilize her Outro Skill to buff other Fusion DPS like Encore, you can go with the Moonlit Clouds Echo Set.

You can also combine two pieces of Lingering Tunes and two pieces of Molten Rift sets to get ATK% and Fusion DMG% boosts. However, going with the full Molten Rift set is a far better option.

Keep in mind that apart from the 4-Cost Echo, you can use any two 3-Cost and two 1-Cost Echoes if they have the Molten Rift Sonata Effect and offer the stats that I have prioritized.

Also, I do believe that we will be getting a new 4-Cost Echo with Molten Rift Sonata Effect soon. When that happens, I will test it out with Changli and update this section.

Lastly, if you wanna try something new, I would recommend testing out three 4-Cost Echoes on Changli. I will be testing it out and see whether it outperforms the Molten Rift five pieces bonus and will be updating here soon!
